Lost, and some Muller

It's surprisingly hard to type, with the kitten hugging the laptop like it's suddenly her favourite teddy bear...
Seriously, she's been curled up at the back for the past couple of hours, but now we've graduated to arms wrapped around the screen, belly against the hot air vent and head on the keyboard. Specifically, on the delete key... Typing. Difficult.
Now she's not happy at all I'm still trying to type around her, and frankly i spoil her silly so i'm not going to do anything daft like chuck her off...
And now I'm an hour past the point where i should have gone to bed, so, briefly, for my own benefit..
Lost has now apparently kicked off into the obsessive part of my brain for the first time since.. ooh, 2004. I mean, I've watched the whole time, every ep, but it was slowing down until last year (the ships, especially. Ack, no more Triangle/Quadrangle, please! Except I was always kinda in the Jate camp, obv). Then last year was short and sweet and kinda insane, and ended on the best season finale since.. ooh, Penny's Portuguese guys camped out in the Arctic (season 2? I think?). And now it's back, and absolutely frickin' fantastic.. and I have new canon stuff to ship (Jughead? Seriously? I'm sold.) Except Charaday sounds daft, far as I'm concerned. Just needs a new name (and everyone to survive this season), and all will be peachy.
Obsessions require acting out, naturally, so I've managed most of a season 4 rewatch this week - mostly notable because I've never rewatched Lost in my life, what with all the first timer shocks losing impact. Surprisingly, it holds up pretty well.. Lots of Ji Yeon gets fast-forwarded, once it loses the misdirection gimmick (and I'd forgotten about Charlotte's little Korean moment with Jin in that one. And Dan calling her on the attitude problem :o) ) but mostly, fun stuff. Liking Miles much more this time around, and Keamy is freak-out scary.. I'm just watching more closely this time, I think. Still interesting that Charlotte and Dan were both at Oxford, at some point, and is Dan's Theresa anything to do with Boone's unlucky nanny...?
Also.. Sophie Muller videos. I caught Jamelia's See It In a Boy's Eyes vid again today for the first time in ages and had to go look up the list again. And every time, I keep realising that she directed all the videos that stuck in my head over the years (with a couple of exceptions) - usually the ones with some weird kick-ass whole other story going on in the background. Of course she did Duffy's Stepping Stone video where Duffy's suddenly the lead in some freaky 1960s kitchen sink drama. And the Sex On Fire video where there's some weird exorcism shit going down.
You can see the stuff she carries across her work, sometimes - hooped skirts and gothic dresses; odd romantic dramas that make the lyrics all rich and strange.. All you have to know really is that she did both Annie Lennox's Walking on Broken Glass, and Shakespeare's Sister's Stay videos.. Plus everything Gwen Stefani has done that wasn't a big hit (oh, and Cool, which was a hit. And Cool is exactly the kind of narrative I'm talking about).
I can only assume she does the Leona Lewis stuff to.. pay the bills? But Nelly Furtado's Try is one of my favourite all time evers.
Gah. Must sleep. And must stop reading fics...!
