I danced and died a thousand times
Jun. 29th, 2008 11:38 pm Ack. Bad day--bad weekend-- and a particularly black dog day today, and then it wasn't, later. Not fixed, not by any means, but not looking the same now, and I can't remember what was sticking in my craw so badly all afternoon.
Not a productive weekend (yet again) in the way it was meant to be, but I finished reading Iron Kissed (and loved it, and was impressed at how dark it was allowed to go) and then started on Cordelia's Honor today, which is panning out well.
And then this week's Dr Who... which was a fall-off-the-couch (and shriek at the screen) kinda episode. So exceedingly unexpected (and a secret well-kept) because, hey, where do you go from here? Somewhere they're not talking about right now, obviously, as we had no trailer for next week's finale at the end. No trailer for a season ender... that's not their usual marketing strategy, to put it mildly. It hasn't hit me quite like this since the first season's ending (which was pay off on a grand scale), because season two was flagged up, predictable trauma, and season three We Don't Talk About and I still haven't seen. And won't be seeing, if I have anything to do with it.
And now I have to go sleep, and entertain a work experience person tomorrow. This will go one of two ways, neither of which particularly appeal. And the exceedinly old story, which seems to like the reboot this year, has been trying to write itself recently. This is new, and should be very good except I'm not paying it enough attention to write everything down (and I'm blaming MSN more than anything. That, and my total lack of willpower everytime i switch on the laptop). Poor story. I hope it sticks in my head this time, and waits for my stupid brain to catch up and stop playing silly buggers.
Hmm. I kinda like Dalek Khan now. Dude got all the best lines this ep...
