squeeing for the sake of squeeing...
Tonight there are chocolate/Guiness cupcakes, and the rest of the Guiness, and Sarah Connor (but not Lost yet. Ack.)
So I managed to miss the beginning of the Sarah Connor ep tonight, not realising it was The Good Wound. With all the major Kyle Reece scenes... Ack. Stupid girl.
Now, if they'd just have someone who looked a teeny bit more like Michael Biehn playing Reese, I'd be a happy bunny. The script is just.. fabulous. As I can basically watch the director's cut of T2 just for the cut scene where she hallucinates Reese... heh. They just took it and turned it into most of an ep. And it was mostly adorable.
but the new Reese is.... kinda young, when you see him out of context. And the designer stubble looks odd. I can absolutely buy Lena Headey's version of Sarah, but these scenes apparently work better for me if I don't watch when he's talking, lol...!
Of course, I have absolutely watched T1 too many times (and have a terrible Michael Biehn crush, still), but then we knew that already.
Aw. Don't think we've ever seen Sarah smile so much as she does in this ep.
Gah. Want to watch Lost already now! Obviously I cheated by reading recaps today instead of doing actual work.
They actually matched the three year gap on the island, I'm in shock... Also, before I've even watched it, a little.. disappointed, maybe? Watching it, we're now out of sync with all the cast - up until this point we were matching the island group all the way through, and it contrasted nicely with the O6 folk as we caught glimpses of who they were now and how they go there.
*sigh* Still, Sawyer is a much better match with Juliet than he ever was with Kate. And they've both spent longer being in actual relationships with Juliet/Jack than they ever did together... which won't count for a damn thing once they start milking the reunion stuff. And no Sun! No fair.
Other stuff... I finally saw Dark Knight in Imax. Considering I'd never been to the Imax before the Watchmen screening last week... woah. The actual true Imax scenes were phenomenal. I kept tracking the edge of the screen as it switched to Imax, and then the camera kinda plunged down into the cityscape.. Damn good stuff. They should do this more often.
