In which my brain is still on holiday

Why oh why did I ever think this would get magically easier once we actually started transcribing...?!
Apparently the part of my brain that used to be a grammar maven has departed on a long term vacation.  Also, I can no longer spell.
The first attempt we do ends with me in total panic, I completely ignore things that were written on the log (including the correct version of 'programme'. Duh.) and cannot rearrange a sentence to save my life.  Swotting up on my Dictionary of Troublesome Words during lunch doesn't help a jot, as we are now in a world where the Style Guide gods rule all.  And boy, are they demanding suckers.

The second one was easier, but then, I had lots more helpful stuff to refer back to that time, and it just made more sense altogether.  I wouldn't exactly say I'm ticketyboo about my ability to do this at mo.

But it gets easier, apparently.  Or so I'm told, anyhoo...

Elsewhere: they closed a big part of the road off for some prep before the Queen's speech next week, and the touristy chaos is getting even worse.  The nice policemen with machine guns are multiplying by the day, just in case you thought they don't take this kinda thing seriously, lol!
And Big Ben still looks absolutely stupendous when they light it up at night.  What with that one side and the Eye glowing all green over the river, it's certainly a bit of a lightshow down there after dark... although they've got a way to go before they beat the Tower Bridge/South Bank fairy light tree combo view as far as I'm concerned...
